Monday, August 14, 2022 - We departed Tok and drove on some pretty poor roads to Destruction Bay near Kluane Lake. We pulled off at a pullout on Kluane Lake that we had used on the trip to Alaska. Unlike our first stay, the winds were really blowing and there were whitecaps on the lake with large waves slapping the shore. We were able to stay overnight with about five other campers. There was a sign laying on the ground (someone must have pulled it out of the ground) that said that overnight camping was not permitted here, but no one payed any attention to it. The winds died down in the middle of the night and it was calm by morning. Nice to boondock and no cost really helps.

Tuesday, August 15, 2022 - We depart for Haines Junction and then on to the town of Haines itself.
