Monday, August 22, 2022 - Drive to Dease Lake on the Cassiar Highway. Lisa had researched the camping sites along the highway and found an abandoned gravel pit that is right next to the lake that is now used for camping. We decided to give it a try. When we got there, we were a little early in the day, so we were the only ones there. I found a level spot right next to the shore with great views of the lake. I like the spot so much that I even got out the drone to take some aerial photos of the lake.

Tuesday, August 23, 2022 - Woke up and had breakfast. I noticed a moose swimming across the perfectly calm lake. The diistance that the moose had to swim across the lake was about one mile. This moose was an amazing swimmer; he was fast and did not seem to tire. I sort of kick myself for not getting out the drone to get some closeup photos of the moose swimming along. After watching the moose, we drove to the town of Stewart, BC which is right next to Hyder, Alaska. Beautiful drive.
