We stayed at this RV park only one night, but it was at a beautiful location near the mouth of the Williamson River and Upper Klamath Lake. From here we kayaked on Spring Creek and went to have breakfast at Crater Lake.

The kayak trip on Spring Creek was about two miles long one way, and the water was crystal clear. The water temp is at 42 degrees year-round because this creek is actually fed by underground springs. When you kayak the beginning of the creek, you will come upon an area where the water is bubbling out of the ground . It was a beautiful kayak trip and seeing the beginning of the spring was awesome.

We went to Crater Lake to have breakfast and hike. It was the most beautiful day imaginable. No clouds at the start (we arrive at the lake at 7:15 am), and absolutely no wind. Temps were in the mid-40s and rose to near 70 by the time we left. The sky was perfect for photos and videos (take a look at some of our shots), and the visibility was, as we say in the air force, "Clear and a million." One road was blocked to cars, but we could hike on it; went about 2.5 miles out and then back for around five miles. Great photos of Mt. McLoughlin and Mt Shasta in the distance. This could not have been a better day for our trip to Crater Lake.

We had our first encounter with a tree and our trailer at this site. Due to my innattention, I allowed the back-left-upper corner of the trailer to hit a tree. The damage was not super significant, but we will be looking for a place along the way to get some repairs done. Yuck!
