Friday, January 6, 2023 - We finally finished packing our belongings in our new VanLeigh Ambition toy hauler and drive just 25 miles to Terrell, Texas to a very nice park (Bluebonnet Ridge RV park) to check out the systems.  A little challenging on the freeways of east Dallas, Texas due to construction and some very narrow lanes. The drive took about 40 minutes and the new rig pulled wonderfully. Once we arrived, we setup the trailer and all systems worked fine.

Saturday, January 7, 2023 - We spent most of the day organizing the RV. We had to stow clothing and supplies in the kitchen and the bedroom. We filled the dresser drawers and the closets in the bedroom. I bought a new hose and attachment for the water system. We had planes to go to Hutchin's BBQ in McKinney, Texas with Bob and Charlotte Capp and Heidi and Kent Anderson, so we departed at around 3:00 pm to shop and then meet them for dinner. Great BBQ, as always, at Hutchin's. We rode back to Bob and Charotte's house and then drove back to the RV in Terrell.

Sunday, January 8, 2023 - We worked more to stow household items and we also prepped the rig for travel on Monday morning. We did a little shopping to get more storage containers.

On this day, we met Dawn and Kevin who post a blog online called, "Nuttin' Adventured, Nuttin' Gained." They have been traveling for two years and have made numerous videos of their travels that they have posted to the web. Dawn and Kevin had come to the Bluebonnet RV Park to visit with their friends, Ken and Gail who were parked right next to us. Ken and Gail post their travels online too. Dawn invited us over for a steak dinner with Ken and Gail, but Ken and Gail were not feelin too well, so they aborted. We had a wonderful steak dinner with Dawn and Kevin and learned a ton about their blog and also about the new Starlink Internet System that is being created by Elon Musk Dawn and Kevin also mentioned how the use the TSD Refueling Card, which we have, so we used it on our trip and managed to save $75 on one refueling; Wow! Dawn and Kevin are also ambassadors for Battle Born lithium batteries and are heading to Tampa, Florida to work in the Battle Born booth and an RV show there.

Monday, January 9, 2023 - We depart Terrell, Texas for The Ouachita RV Park in Monroe, Louisiana our first stop on our trip to Brunswick, Texas where Wayne's daugher, Mandy, and her family live.
