Friday, May 7, 2021 - We drove for three hours from Luke AFB near Phoenix to Davis-Monthan AFB near Tucson. The drive was uneventful and we used the L-202 loop to the west and south of Phoenix which worked out extremely well. Feels good to be back in the Tucson area since we have spent some time here in the past. We plan a five-day layover for now.

The RV park at Davis-Monthan AFB was pretty empty. No problem getting a slot and getting set up. Most people have left after April 1st to avoid the hot summer days. They have headed for the north country. The high today is projected to be 95 degrees. We are looking at a bike ride in the early morning tomorrow.
